Continental School Board Bids Farewell to Longtime Member Robin Etter
CONTINENTAL — The Continental Local School Board of Education gathered Wednesday, December 17, 2025 for a meeting marked by both reflection and gratitude, as members officially bid farewell to veteran board member Robin Etter.
In a formal proclamation issued on December 17, the board recognized Etter for her sixteen years of dedicated service, a tenure that spanned from 2010 through the end of 2025.
A Legacy of Student Advocacy
Board members highlighted Etter’s unwavering commitment to the students of the Continental community. Beyond her duties on the local board, Etter was a key figure in regional education, serving as the Vantage Career Center representative.
"Robin has been a true champion for vocational education," the board noted in its resolution. "Her work ensuring our students have access to the diverse opportunities at Vantage has left a lasting impact on countless careers and lives."
"A Deeply Missed Voice"
The resolution, which will be entered into the district’s permanent records, praised Etter for her "wisdom and experience." Colleagues and administration staff noted that her departure marks the end of an era of stability and merit-based leadership for the district.
The proclamation concluded with a formal expression of thanks:
"The Board of Education... does hereby officially and publicly extend its deepest appreciation and thanks to Robin Etter for her sixteen years of exceptional and meritorious service to the children and residents of the school district."
Following the reading of the resolution, Etter was presented with a signed copy and a wooden bell as a token of respect from the entire Continental Local Schools community.
