Continental Local Schools continues to keep all students safe.
Given the current information we have received from EMA and the NWS, Continental Schools has decided not to release students before the normal 3:00 dismissal time. Current forecasts out of NWS in Northern Indiana indicate that the risk for tornadoes is decreasing and that the storms are becoming less intense.
We will, however, permit parents to pick up their children before 3:00 if they choose. If you want to pick up your student, please call your student's office and let them know what time you will be there to pick them up so we can have them ready for you. Students that drive themselves to school will only be released early with a call from a parent/guardian.
It is possible, depending on the time the storm hits, that we will hold all students and buses after 3:00, if we determine it is in the best interest of student safety. If that happens, we will communicate that through our messenger system.
The goal of EARLY PICK-UP is not to have parents waiting in the parking lot in the midst of the severe weather. Please know that Continental Schools have a safety plan in place and that staff will supervise students as long as they are in our buildings.

The girls softball scrimmage will now be played at Defiance High School on their turf field. The scrimmage will start closer to 4:30 than 5:00.

Athletic Reminder - The varsity boys game tonight will be a split session, your Continental ticket will only get you into the second game. You will not be allowed to enter until the gym is cleared from the first game. It would be recommended to arrive closer to the start of the game for good parking.
